Emiliana Cordaro born in Maarssen Netherlands May 18 1967.

Her study began at the School of the Arts Utrecht (1989).

In 1993 she undertook a number of private painting lessons after she developed her own distinctive style.

"Oil is firm, my shapes are solid and therefore the painting is ever present. The picture is clear and strong, sometimes dominant and that is the intention. As a spectator you have to watch as the shape and colors attract you.

Her paintings are abstract and stylized. By using contrast, stuffed fat or smooth paint, color and composition will get its work preventing this abstract.

In your mind you can wander through the canvas and feel the intensity of life ".

I don't want to be affected by impulses from the outside world.

Emiliana gets her inspiration from anything surrounding her.

She loves peasant landscapes in the Netherlands. The oily brown clay soil or the colorful flower fields. But she also gets her inspiration from travelling around the globe. Humans, animals and various landscapes.
